This led to a devastating ambush, Frederick's coma, and his family's ruin. At their lowest ebb, a modern special forces soul awakens in Frederick's body, just as Jareth arrives to force a political marriage and publicly parade the "vegetative" Frederick. After saving his defender Julia from assault, the reborn Frederick faces universal scorn and blame for his father's "treason." Defying the Emperor, he clears his father's name, repels the Turkic invasion, and rises to the new Marquis , redeeming his family's legacy.
